With MLB 12: The Show's launch date several months out, there were still glitches and bugs being worked out of the software, but overall, Move controls made me a believer that there are gamers out there who will definitely want to give the motion options a go (even if I remain a DualShock-er). Likewise, you could bat as a lefty and a righty depending on the stance of the hitter in question (which is great for the switch hitters out there), but dedicated righties or lefties can bat how they want. I was assured that I could throw as a lefty even if the pitcher I'm playing as is a righty. I inquired how I would fare in the game as someone who throws and bats left-handed. Thoughtful controls are the name of the game with Move and there are many options to be explored. You might be skeptical of Move - I know I am - but it seems to work extremely well here. Now, players have the option to bat, pitch, field and base-run entirely with the PlayStation Move. Players of MLB 11: The Show will know that there was extremely limited Move functionality in that game in terms of Homerun Derby, but that functionality has been expanded to the entire game. The first aspect of MLB 12: The Show that I got to take a look at was its robust PlayStation Move support.
